Why certified organic?

Organic certification provides independent verification that a farming operation or production system meets the requirements of an accredited organic standard.

Certification involves:
Auditing of on-farm practices and production methods
Ongoing compliance with organic standards
Third-party verification to maintain integrity and transparency

In Australia, organic certification is administered by accredited certifiers such as ACO Certification Ltd (ACO). The ACO “Bud” logo may only be used by certified operators and on certified organic products or approved promotional material, in accordance with certification rules.
Certification ensures confidence for growers, supply-chain partners, and consumers by confirming that organic claims are substantiated and independently verified.
Important clarification:
Organica Australia manufactures agricultural input products.
Our products are not certified organic products.
Selected products are approved as ACO Certified Allowed Farm Inputs, meaning they may be used by certified organic producers within an organic system, when used in accordance with applicable standards.

ACO USDA NOP

For Organica Australia, this means that some products have been reviewed and assessed by ACO Certification Ltd
(ACO) as compliant with USDA-NOP input requirements, based on their ingredients, formulation, and supply-chain
documentation.
Not all Organica products are USDA-NOP compliant.
NOP compliance is determined on a product-by-product basis and may vary depending on formulation, ingredient sourcing, and intended market.

Important clarification
USDA-NOP compliance does not mean the product is certified organic
USDA-NOP compliance does not apply to all Organica products
USDA-NOP compliance applies only to specific products that have been assessed and approved for use in NOP-certified organic systems
Certified organic status applies to farming and production operations, not to input manufacturers, unless specifically certified.

About USDA NOP

The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) is the regulatory framework governing organic production, handling, and marketing in the United States. Since March 2024, NOP supply-chain requirements have expanded to include additional upstream suppliers and verification requirements.
To support access to NOP-certified markets, input products must meet current NOP criteria, and supply-chain documentation must align with updated compliance expectations.

How Organica approaches NOP compliance?

Selected products are individually assessed for USDA-NOP compliance
Compliance status may differ between products and markets
Confirmation of NOP suitability should always be obtained for the specific product being used
